CALAFCO 2018 Legislative Policies

On 11 January, 2017, as part of their 2-year Strategic Plan, the CALAFCO Board of Directors reviewed Legislative Policies for the Association. Policies were subsequently adopted at their 12 January, 2017 and reaffirmed for 2018 during the December 8, 2017 meeting. Overarching policy areas include:

  • LAFCo Purpose and Authority
  • LAFCo Organization
  • Agricultural and Open Space Protection
  • Orderly Growth
  • Service Delivery and Local Agency Effectiveness

Legislative Priorities for 2018 include:
